Once a small town on the outermost edges of Metro Atlanta, Ball Ground is a town that seems to be locked in time. However, this rural time capsule town is exploding with growth. In living in Ball Ground for just over half a decade, the charm that drew me to this town is vanishing. This once rural town is quickly turning into a mega-suburbia ripe for the picking by housing and commercial developers. Initially, I photographed Ball Ground as a pastime. Now, it is a race against time to document the charm that drew me to this town before it is gone to memory.
Purchasing a print from me will fund my personal project to document Ball Ground and lead to publishing these images into a photobook that I call ‘Home’.
You can ask my wife; I have a camera at the ready just about everywhere. One of my favorite spots to stop at is just up the road from my house. Two white horses live along one side of the road and one just on the other side of the street upon a hill. My wife and I came up with names we'd give them, and we decided on Parker for this horse.
